Details of the Job/Internship
Seva Enterprise LLP is hiring a Legal Analyst to join its team in Ajmer. The role involves legal research, statutory analysis, and end-to-end support in indirect tax compliance, payroll-related legal processes, and corporate dissolution matters for U.S. and India-based clients.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct sales tax nexus studies to identify U.S. state-level tax obligations.
- Analyse state laws and determine sales tax registration requirements.
- Handle sales tax registrations and periodic filings post nexus determination.
- Support U.S. payroll compliance, including payroll-related registrations.
- Review and prepare offer letters from a compliance perspective.
- Coordinate payroll processing and statutory filings.
- Assist clients with business dissolution processes and post-compliance obligations.
- Verify statutory filings and legal requirements before dissolution.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with applicable U.S. laws.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for timely execution.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) – mandatory.
- Master’s degree in Law (LLM) – preferred.
- Strong understanding of statutory interpretation and legal compliance.
- Ability to research, analyse, and apply laws and regulations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines.
