Details of the Job/Internship

WTW is looking for candidate for the position of Legal Analyst with 2 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide and support the timely provision of practical legal advice and services to Insurance business segments in India.
Work with Human Resources on employment law and investigations on employment matters.
Efficiently review a large volume of contracts, negotiate numerous standard and complex corporate and commercial agreements for the company's business operations while balancing appropriate legal, regulatory, and business risks as per WTW internal guidelines.
Responsible for applying and maintenance of licenses and registration, filing of reports, returns as per applicable regulatory compliance requirements. Eg. Shops and Commercial Establishment License.
Extreme focus on quality with the understanding of the financial/legal implications of the contract provisions and rapidly assess potential legal and compliance risks, benefits, and consequences of decisions.
Consistently meet service levels agreed with all relevant parties involved in the contract review process.
Understand WTW and OGC Policies and contracting framework and requirements, as articulated in the New Work Policy, contracting playbooks, Limitation of Liability policy, Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy and others posted on the WTW intranet.
Interface with vendors, and other third party legal, procurement, and contracting representatives, as well as internal corporate teams (e.g. real estate, marketing, IT, HR, Finance, etc.) to achieve business objectives.
Escalate errors and omissions and complex issues to concern Legal Head.
Active participation in all required WTW interactions including huddles, stakeholder
discussions, etc.
Undertake required training on subjects relevant to the role
Administrative duties including developing and maintain documentation that supports the legal functions operational processes.
Support the team in litigation matters at times
Provide support for triaging Data Security Incident remediation, support shall include but not limited to responding to and/or facilitating such queries and remediation plan. This includes working with other relevant stakeholders and reporting to regulators to achieve the objective.

Eligibility

Demonstrable track record of Insurance law and Employment law.
Corporate Law
Reviewing and negotiating third party contracts including technology and software contracts
Flexible and adaptable to changing demands.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Should be a quick learner and team player.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Beneficial but not essential: Knowledge of Companies Act and Taxation
Beneficial qualifications include:
Bachelors or Masters degree in law and preferably 1-3 years of experience.
