Details of the Job/Internship

Zenwork is hiring a Legal Counsel with 2–4 years of experience to support its growing AI-SaaS business.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage SaaS, software licensing, customer, vendor, partnership, integration, reseller, and NDA agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on technology, data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection frameworks.
• Advise on data protection matters such as Data Processing Agreements, privacy policies, and internal compliance processes.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support research and advisory on tax compliance and regulatory matters, particularly U.S. digital tax compliance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, finance, and HR teams to support business initiatives.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the technology and SaaS sector.
• Assist in improving internal legal processes, templates, and playbooks to support scalability.

Eligibility

• Law degree from a reputed law school (integrated or bachelor’s degree with LL.B.).
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial laws with exposure to the technology or SaaS sector.
• Experience negotiating software, SaaS, and vendor agreements.
• Working knowledge of data privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA.
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience in an in-house, law firm, or technology-focused legal role.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
