S-squad Global is hiring for the position of Legal and Compliance Executive with  5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

Corporate Legal Support:

• Provide comprehensive legal guidance on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, governance, and risk management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal agreements, such as software licensing, partnership, and confidentiality agreements.

Compliance Management:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and industry-specific standards.
• Develop and enforce company policies related to corporate compliance, ethics, and risk management.
• Manage the implementation of ISO standards across the organization.

Intellectual Property Management:

• Oversee and manage intellectual property assets, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.

Employment Law and Dispute Resolution:

• Draft employment contracts and handle employment law matters.
• Address potential disputes and work with external legal counsel as necessary.

Regulatory Liaison and Legal Research:

• Liaise with regulatory authorities and manage external legal counsel effectively.
• Conduct legal research and provide timely updates on emerging laws and industry regulations.

Compliance Training and Awareness:

• Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Eligibility

• Educational Background:
• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law and compliance, ideally within the technology or software industry.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of intellectual property law, data privacy regulations, and software licensing agreements.
• Knowledge of corporate law (English Law) and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and corporate compliance frameworks.
• Skills and Attributes:
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• High level of integrity and adherence to professional ethics.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CISSP are an added advantage.

Salary/Stipend
