With a global clientele spanning enterprises and public sector organizations, VE3 is expanding its India-based legal and compliance team.

Details of the Job/Internship

VE3 is seeking an experienced Legal and Compliance Executive for its Pune office, with 4 to 7 years of experience in corporate legal and compliance functions, ideally within the IT, SaaS, or technology services sector. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal & Contract Management:
  • Draft/review NDAs, MSAs, SoWs, licensing agreements
  • Manage contract lifecycle and assist in vendor/client legal due diligence
  • Collaborate with UK legal team on cross-border matters
• Compliance & Governance:
  • Oversee ISO 27001, ISO 9001, Cyber Essentials Plus implementation
  • Maintain compliance documentation and support audits
  • Monitor regulatory updates and adapt internal policies
• Data Protection & Risk:
  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act
  • Draft data processing agreements, conduct DPIAs
  • Escalate risk issues and maintain risk registers
• Internal Controls & Corporate Governance:
  • Develop internal control policies across departments
  • Support corporate secretarial tasks (board minutes, compliance tracking)
  • Draft governance policies in HR, procurement, cybersecurity, etc.

Eligibility

Education:

• LLB from a recognized Indian university (mandatory).
• Preferred: LLM in Corporate/International Law or CS qualification.
• ISO 27001 (Lead Implementer/Auditor) certification or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• 4–7 years in a corporate legal/compliance role (preferably IT, SaaS, or tech sector).
• Proven contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
• Practical experience with ISO standards and data protection regulations.
• Familiarity with UK/EU legal frameworks and working in global/remote-first teams is advantageous.
