Details of the Job/Internship
CloudThat is hiring a Legal and Compliance Head with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Bangalore.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal advisor to the leadership team on corporate, commercial, and technology laws.
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, and standardization of complex client agreements, licensing contracts, and vendor MOUs.
- Establish a comprehensive global compliance framework, ensuring adherence to the Companies Act, labor laws, and IT regulations.
- Manage specific locational compliance requirements for international offices in the US and Bangladesh.
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies, including handling dispute resolution and litigation.
- Design and implement core internal policies, such as Data Privacy, Code of Conduct, and Anti-Bribery ethics.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies while collaborating across HR, Finance, and Sales teams.
Eligibility
- LLB / LLM from a recognized institution.
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification is mandatory.
- 10+ years of experience in legal and compliance leadership roles.
- Industry Experience: Prior background in IT services, SaaS, or the EdTech/Training industry is highly preferred.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience in high-growth startups and exposure to US or Bangladesh legal frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of data protection laws (GDPR exposure is a plus).
