Astrotalk is hiring for the position of Legal and Compliance Manager with 3-6 years of experience to join their office in Noida.
Role and Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive legal and compliance framework aligned with Indian and international laws applicable to online platforms, e-commerce, and digital services.
- Monitor and interpret changes in legislation, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conduct periodic internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps, and recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Contracts and Agreements
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage legal aspects of partner relationships and ensure contract terms align with business objectives and legal standards.
- Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Handle legal disputes, regulatory inquiries, and consumer complaints, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Advise internal teams on legal risks, regulatory exposure, and appropriate responses to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Training and Awareness
- Design and deliver legal and compliance training programs to promote organizational awareness and adherence.
- Develop and update internal legal policies, compliance manuals, and standard operating procedures.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized Indian university; Master’s degree (LL.M.) or professional certification (e.g., Company Secretary) is an added advantage.
- 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in legal and compliance functions, preferably within a technology startup, e-commerce company, or online services environment.
- Proven experience managing diverse legal matters, including contracts, compliance audits, and dispute resolution.
- Strong command of legal drafting and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance for business teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated integrity, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to ethical practice.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
