Details of the Job/Internship
Masadir is hiring a Legal & Compliance Manager with 3–6 years of experience to oversee legal, statutory, and audit-related functions, particularly within FMCG or manufacturing, including FSSAI compliance, contract management, labour law governance, and regulatory audits.
Role and Responsibilities
A. Agreement & Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, supplier, distributor, marketing, and employment contracts.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and ensure timely renewals.
B. FMCG & Organic Food Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI and Legal Metrology requirements, including license renewals, packaging declarations, and artwork approvals.
C. Shops & Establishments / Statutory Compliance
- Manage Karnataka Shops & Establishment Act compliance and maintain statutory registers and returns.
D. Vendor, Labour & Third-Party Compliance
- Verify compliance of manpower vendors, including PF/ESI challans, wage registers, and contract labour documentation.
E. HR Legal Support & POSH Governance
- Support HR in disciplinary actions, terminations, legal notices, and POSH governance, including IC formation and training.
F. Internal & External Audits
- Coordinate regulatory, statutory, and process audits, and prepare compliance documentation for internal/external auditors.
G. Legal Advisory & Risk Management
- Respond to legal notices, conduct risk assessments, and advise leadership on legal implications of business decisions.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM (mandatory).
- 3–6 years of legal and compliance experience in FMCG, organic food, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of FSSAI, Legal Metrology, labour laws, factory laws, and POSH compliance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, documentation, and audit-handling skills.
- Ability to manage regulatory interactions and compliance processes independently.
- Additional certifications in corporate or labour law are preferred.
