Pazago is hiring for the position of Legal and Compliance Manager with 7+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
Contract & Legal Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, agreements, and contracts in line with company policies.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitration, or negotiations as needed.
- Manage disputes, claims, and notices from clients, partners, or regulatory authorities.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and export control laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR).
- Oversee adherence to SEBI, RBI, MCA, and other Indian regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with freight documentation, shipping protocols, and export-import requirements.
- Monitor compliance requirements for Pazago’s fintech application, including data security, user privacy, and transaction guidelines.
Risk Management & Reporting
- Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and vendor due diligence.
- Track regulatory changes in software exports, IP law, and cross-border data transfers.
- Provide management with regular reports and updates on compliance and legal risks.
- Advise on regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required; advanced degree (LLM) or certifications in compliance, international trade, or data privacy (e.g., CCEP, CIPM) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in legal and compliance roles, ideally in software, IT, or export industries.
- Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and freight forwarding practices.
- Expertise in SEBI, RBI, and Indian financial compliance frameworks.
- Excellent skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and communication.
- Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities and external counsel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management abilities.
