Details of the Job/Internship
9Point Capital is hiring a Legal Associate – Regulatory, Fintech & Crypto with 2–5 years of experience to join its team in Mumbai. The role involves legal research, drafting, regulatory advisory, and supporting matters relating to financial services, fintech, crypto, taxation, and public law.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on Indian and cross-border regulations, including SEBI, RBI, FEMA, income-tax, and crypto laws.
- Draft legal opinions, advisory notes, notices, representations, and contracts.
- Assist in tax litigation, regulatory correspondence, and policy submissions.
- Support high-stakes matters involving exchanges, platforms, funds, and HNIs.
- Contribute to thought leadership, articles, and policy advocacy.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a premier university.
- 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, with law firm, litigation, or regulatory experience preferred.
- Strong drafting and legal reasoning skills.
- Interest in fintech, crypto, taxation, and emerging regulation.
- High ethical standards and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with tax laws, FEMA, or financial regulations preferred.
- Experience in setting up funds and drafting PPMs preferred.
- Prior exposure to crypto or digital assets preferred.
