Details of the Job/Internship
BeyondSeed India Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Legal & Compliance Associate with 1–2 years of experience to support fund operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulations of SEBI, IFSCA, GIFT City SEZ, FEMA, PMLA, RBI, AMFI, and other authorities.
- Develop and manage the annual compliance calendar and ensure timely execution of compliance requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including fund documentation and client agreements.
- Conduct legal due diligence for investments, mergers, and financial transactions.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Align internal policies with current laws and industry best practices.
- Monitor changes in securities, taxation, and investment laws.
- Coordinate with external counsel for litigation and regulatory matters.
- Liaise with clients, investors, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct training sessions on legal and compliance requirements.
- Prepare reports on legal and compliance matters for senior management.
Eligibility
- LLB or equivalent degree in law.
- Postgraduate qualification or certification in financial law/compliance is an advantage.
- 1–2 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in financial services or fund management.
- Strong understanding of SEBI regulations and Indian financial laws.
- Experience in handling regulatory compliance and documentation.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
