Details of the Job/Internship
Gleeds is hiring for the position of Legal and Compliance Officer with 2-3 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain and track all legal and compliance documents, including contract agreements, lease agreements, and renewals.
- Provide timely updates to management on renewal dates and legal developments.
- Offer recommendations and support in legal proceedings or matters involving external counsel.
- Liaise with internal teams, legal consultants, company secretaries, compliance agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure full statutory compliance by coordinating with government departments and regulatory authorities (e.g., Income Tax, MCA, ROC, MSME).
- Advise on employment law matters and ensure alignment of HR policies with current labour laws.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including:
- Contract and vendor agreements
- Lease agreements
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)
- Employment contracts
- MSME declarations and No Dues Certificates.
- Manage Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) renewals.
- Schedule board meetings, maintain minutes, and prepare board resolutions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving laws and implement relevant process improvements.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); CS qualification is a plus.
- 2–3 years of experience in legal advisory and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities independently.
