Details of the Job/Internship
Gleeds is hiring a Legal and Compliance Officer with 2-3 years of experience in legal advisory and regulatory compliance to join their Bengaluru office. The role involves managing legal and compliance documents, coordinating with regulatory bodies, advising on employment-related legal issues, and ensuring full statutory compliance across the organization.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage legal and compliance documents, including contract and lease agreements, tracking renewal dates, and notifying management timely.
- Liaise with internal teams, external legal consultants, compliance agencies, company secretary, and regulatory bodies for legal and statutory matters.
- Coordinate with government departments such as Income Tax, MCA, ROC, MSME for statutory compliance.
- Advise on employment-related legal issues and ensure compliance with labour laws.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents including contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, MoUs, employment contracts, MSME declarations, and no dues certificates.
- Manage Digital Signature Card (DSC) renewals, board meeting scheduling, minutes of meetings, and board resolutions.
- Ensure company policies comply with legal standards and implement process improvements aligned with evolving laws.
- Oversee compliance audits and deploy compliance frameworks.
- Provide advice on data privacy, consumer protection, statutory regulations, dispute resolution, gratuity, factories act, absconding employee cases, and death benefits.
- Advise management on statutory obligations and compliance risks.
- Identify and implement process improvements to mitigate legal and compliance risks.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB). Company Secretary qualification is an advantage.
- 2-3 years of experience in legal advisory and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of corporate law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
