Details of the Job/Internship

The Fashion Entrepreneur Fund is hiring for the position of Legal and Compliance with 8-12 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

Legal & M&A Support

• Lead legal due diligence, documentation, and structuring for M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements including SPAs, shareholder agreements, term sheets, and investment documents.
• Collaborate with external counsel, investors, and senior stakeholders to ensure smooth deal execution.
• Provide strategic support during fundraising, restructuring, and board-level initiatives.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, securities, and regulatory laws.
• Manage timely filing, renewals, and regulatory disclosures.
• Conduct compliance audits and recommend corrective measures.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies.

Corporate Governance & Advisory

• Oversee legal and governance processes for board meetings, resolutions, and shareholder actions.
• Advise leadership on legal risks, regulatory changes, and business implications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, compliance filings, and legal documentation.

Stakeholder Coordination & Training

• Partner with internal departments to ensure legal and compliance alignment across functions.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions to build a compliance-first culture.

Eligibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) required; LLM or certifications preferred.
• Bar admission (as applicable).

Experience

• 8–12 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal and compliance roles.
• Proven expertise in M&A transactions within corporates or top-tier law firms.
• Experience collaborating with Founders, CFOs, and senior leadership on strategic matters.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong command of corporate, commercial, and M&A laws.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• High integrity, business acumen, and professional judgment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Agile mindset, comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
