Details of the Job/Internship

Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a Techno Legal Consultant with experience of 3–8 years to join their office in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive prior art searches using both paid and free global databases.
• Collaborate with technical teams to assess IP risks and opportunities linked to specific products and platforms.
• Execute Freedom to Operate (FTO) analysis to ensure product launches do not infringe on existing patents.
• Draft and prepare responses to First Examination Reports (FER) for patent offices.
• Partner with inventors to facilitate invention mining and the drafting of Information Disclosure Forms (IDF).
• Review and draft a variety of legal documents, including commercial agreements and specialized contracts.
• Review data privacy documents to ensure compliance with global and local regulations.
• Assess and review legal use cases for Generative AI implementations within the organization.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a technical background (B.Tech/B.Sc) is often preferred for techno-legal roles.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in Legal, specifically within IP and contracts.
• Proven expertise in Prior Art Search, Patent Drafting, and Prosecution.
• Strong knowledge of Intellectual Property Law and Contract Management frameworks.
• Experience in conducting Freedom to Operate (FTO) analysis.
• Familiarity with Data Privacy regulations and the legal implications of Generative AI.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
