Details of the Job/Internship
CACTUS is hiring an Assistant Manager, Legal with experience of 7–9 years to join their team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize business contracts, including MSAs, vendor agreements, NDAs, and lease deeds.
- Optimize contract management processes using technology.
- Provide legal advice, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies for business initiatives.
- Develop and monitor corporate policies and ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with global data protection laws, including GDPR.
- Standardize agreements and policies for freelancers and independent contractors.
- Manage intellectual property protection, enforcement, filings, and IP-related clauses.
- Handle legal notices, pre-litigation matters, and coordinate with external counsel.
- Conduct legal research on cross-border regulations and emerging legal topics.
- Build templates, trackers, and dashboards to improve legal operational efficiency.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Law (LLB).
- 7–9 years of experience in corporate legal roles with expertise in contracts, data privacy, and compliance.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Experience in international corporate and contractual laws.
- Ability to simplify legal concepts for non-legal teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
