Details of the Job/Internship

Medanta is hiring a Legal Generalist to serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all legal matters at its Patna hospital. The role involves managing litigation, contract management, and general hospital legal processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and collaborating with hospital management, corporate legal teams, and external counsel.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage all legal disputes, claims, and litigation involving the hospital.
• Maintain comprehensive litigation records and provide updates to hospital management and the corporate legal team.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, leases, and partnership agreements.
• Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, hospital policies, and industry standards.
• Provide legal advice and risk mitigation strategies to various departments.
• Ensure timely renewals, amendments, or terminations of contracts.
• Maintain a centralized contract management system for all hospital agreements.
• Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices to minimize risks.
• Support hospital management in addressing potential legal risks and opportunities.
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting operations.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including licensing, accreditation, and reporting obligations.

Eligibility

• 6–9 years of experience as a legal professional.
• Experience in healthcare law is an advantage.
• Expertise in litigation, contract management, and general corporate legal matters.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professional conduct.

Salary/Stipend
