Details of the Job/Internship
Relay Human Cloud India is hiring a Legal Assistant (Paralegal) with a minimum of 1 year of experience supporting U.S.-based attorneys or legal firms to join their office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case documentation, filings, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and reports.
- Organize and manage legal files and case materials using legal software and systems.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties via phone and email.
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and case schedules to ensure timely submission of documents.
- Coordinate with U.S.-based legal teams and respond promptly to requests and updates.
Eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with U.S. legal processes or attorneys.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and U.S. legal practices.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Experience with legal software.
- Preferred: Understanding of U.S. litigation and court systems.
- Preferred: Prior experience working with remote or international legal teams.
