Details of the Job/Internship
Amitash Legal Outsourcing Process (ALOP) is hiring a Legal Assistant with 2-6 years of experience in U.S. immigration law to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, including employment-based and family-based cases.
- Draft legal correspondence, forms, and support letters based on case strategy.
- Collect and organize evidence and supporting documentation from clients.
- Track case progress and maintain internal case management systems such as INSZoom or Docketwise.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and respond to routine inquiries.
- Conduct legal research as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards in all client interactions.
- Prioritize workload based on urgency and filing deadlines.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum 2-6 years of experience in U.S. immigration law, including employment-based and/or family-based cases.
- Familiarity with USCIS, DOL, and NVC procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working directly with attorneys in a law firm or legal outsourcing setting preferred.
- Ability to handle cases with minimal supervision after onboarding.
- Adaptable to attorney preferences and workflows.
