Details of the Job/Internship
CloudLabs Inc is hiring a Legal Associate to join their team in India. The role reports to the CFO based in the USA and involves handling contract drafting, legal documentation, policy coordination, and compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting:
- Draft vendor contracts and work orders using approved templates.
- Develop and enhance contract templates for new engagements.
- Coordinate and prepare client MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and SOWs.
- Maintain comprehensive logs of client documentation and highlight key terms to leadership.
- Track and maintain Statement of Work (SOW) to Purchase Order (PO) correlations.
- Draft and update internal policies in coordination with HR and Accounting departments.
- Coordination:
- Liaise with external professionals in the US, Canada, Mexico, and other jurisdictions for legal reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as HR, Accounting, and Network Administration for contract communication.
- Facilitate company-wide communication for new or updated policies.
- Documentation:
- Manage electronic filing and ensure proper documentation of all contracts.
- Maintain and update vendor databases, implementing automation where possible.
- Ensure proper circulation and record-keeping of employee, vendor, and client policies.
- Renewals Tracking:
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking renewals of client and vendor SOWs.
- Coordinate and ensure completion of all annual or periodic contract renewals.
- Reporting and Research:
- Review and report on the accuracy of vendor databases, client SOWs, and employee records.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, agreements, and policy templates.
- Support for US & Canada Immigration:
- Liaise with immigration attorneys and consultants as needed.
- Track work permits and assist with renewals.
- Prepare business travel-related immigration letters.
- Coordinate documentation for Green Card and H1 filings.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong understanding of corporate and commercial laws.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and research skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in documentation management.
- Ability to collaborate across international time zones.
- High ethical standards and confidentiality.
Salary/Stipend
