Davis & Santos, PLLC is hiring a Legal Assistant with experience of 2 to 4 years to join their office in San Antonio.

Schedule
- 8-hour shift (Monday thru Friday)
- This is an in-office position (not remote or hybrid position)
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with managing day-to-day operations, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal files, both physical and electronic.
- Prepare and format legal documents such as correspondence, contracts, pleadings, and reports.
- Draft and proofread legal documents including contracts, affidavits, and legal briefs.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and agencies, ensuring compliance with filing requirements and deadlines.
- Assist in preparing reports, client updates, and summaries of legal proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters.
- Assist with client intake, providing case updates, and responding to inquiries.
- Assist attorneys with case research, gathering relevant case law, statutes, and legal documents.
- Manage case files, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely submission of filings.

Eligibility
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field preferred.
- Paralegal certification is an advantage but not required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in a law firm or legal department.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, legal procedures, and court systems.
- Proficiency in legal software and case management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Westlaw).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Basic understanding of legal research tools.
