The Ministry of Law and Justice consists of three Departments, namely, the Legislative Department, the Department of Legal Affairs and the Department of Justice. The Department of Legal Affairs is concerned with advising the various Ministries of the Central Government while the Legislative Department is concerned with drafting of principal legislation for the Central Government.

Details of the Job/Internship

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Legal Assistant against vacancies in the Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs.

Eligibility

Degree in Law from a recognized university.

Two years’ experience as Legal Practitioner or one year experience in handling Legal work in a Government Department/PSU.

Note:

• Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of Competent Authority in case of candidates otherwise well-qualified.
• The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of Competent Authority in case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe, if at any stage of selection the Competent Authority is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.

Salary/Stipend

Pay Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400.
