Details of the Job/Internship

Karpal Singh & Co. (Penang & Petaling Jaya) is hiring a Legal Assistant to join their office in Malaysia.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice.
•  Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court, tribunals, or mediation, as needed.
• Research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Handle client communications and case management.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university.
• Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or equivalent.
•  Admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
• Preferably 1-3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (additional languages such as Mandarin or Tamil are an advantage).
• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
