Details of the Job/Internship

Kwalee is hiring a Legal Assistant with 2+ years of experience to join their office in Bangalore. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform initial-stage drafting, review, and analysis of various commercial contracts.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, including document production, e-signatures, and filing.
• Maintain and update the legal management information system (MIS) and databases.
• Administer legal tools such as PandaDoc and contract integrations.
• Assist in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio and filing takedown notices for clone games.
• Conduct legal research on legislation and case law, preparing summaries for senior executives.
• Perform due diligence searches, industry research, and support project-based legal work.
• Assist in preparing, implementing, and monitoring internal company policies.
• Support data protection tasks, including managing data subject access requests.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to progress legal matters and provide general administrative support.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a legal environment.
• Previous in-house experience within the video games or tech industry is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) rights.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Commercially minded with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Bangalore studio on-site 5 days per week.
