Details of the Job/Internship
Law Offices of Mary Kennedy, LLC is hiring a Legal Assistant for a full-time, on-site role at its Chennai office in T. Nagar. The position involves supporting U.S. immigration law matters and includes an initial six-month training phase with limited remote night-shift work to align with U.S. CST hours, followed by a transition to a full daytime on-site role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work closely with U.S.-based attorneys, caseworkers, and paralegals on employment-based immigration matters.
- Assist with H-1B, PERM, I-140, L-1, EB-1, EB-2 NIW, and related filings.
- Support petition drafting, evidence review, document organisation, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Manage deadlines and assist with case preparation using internal case management systems.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, or prior experience in U.S. immigration law.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed legal processes and documentation requirements.
- Strong legal research skills and comfort with structured workflows.
