Details of the Job/Internship
OSOI Global Service Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a legal assistant to join them in their Gurugram office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in Conveyancing Matters: Support conveyancing solicitors in the preparation and handling of property transactions from initial instruction to completion.
- Document Preparation and Review: Draft, prepare, and review legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, property searches, and completion statements.
- Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients and other third parties to gather necessary information and provide updates on transaction progress.
- File Management: Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Research and Due Diligence: Conduct property searches, prepare reports, and assist with other due diligence activities related to property transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with relevant UK laws and regulations, particularly those relating to conveyancing, property law, and financial transactions.
- Transcription of Legal Materials and review transcriptions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper formatting according to legal standards.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors
- Support Senior Legal staffs and Solicitors: Provide general administrative and legal support to senior staff, assisting with tasks and ad-hoc projects as required.
Eligibility
- Strong typing speed and accuracy (typically 60-80 words per minute).
- Proficiency in transcription software, word processing, and document management systems.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
