Details of the Job/Internship
SRMB Steel is hiring a Legal Assistant with experience of 3+ years to join their office in Kolkata.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handling litigation matters, tracking ongoing cases, and coordinating with advocates.
- Drafting, reviewing, and vetting agreements and contracts using AI tools for drafting efficiency.
- Maintaining legal MIS, case status reports, and documentation records.
- Coordinating with the Legal Head, consultants, and external advocates for ongoing and pending cases.
- Ensuring proper legal file management and documentation control.
- Monitoring and managing statutory and regulatory compliances.
- Maintaining organised data storage systems for legal documents and contracts.
- Providing timely updates on legal matters and risks to management.
Eligibility
- LLB degree (mandatory).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a corporate or private limited organization.
- Strong exposure to litigation handling and agreement drafting.
- Working knowledge or exposure to AI tools in legal processes.
- Good understanding of legal compliance and documentation.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting.
- Experience in handling multiple legal cases simultaneously preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
