Details of the Job/Internship
Techno India Group is hiring a Legal Assistant with experience of 1–2 years to join their office in the Kolkata Metropolitan Area. The role is designed for law graduates seeking practical experience in a corporate environment and involves legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting in compliance matters, and supporting senior lawyers with case management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on corporate, commercial, and intellectual property laws.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents including contracts, agreements, NDAs, and MoUs.
- Provide litigation support by preparing case files, researching case laws, and drafting pleadings such as petitions, replies, and affidavits.
- Assist with regulatory compliance, maintain compliance checklists, and conduct preliminary due diligence.
- Manage legal files, update case records, and organise documentation.
- Coordinate with external counsels, internal teams, and government authorities.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB, B.Com LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB) from a recognised university.
- 1–2 years of experience.
- Strong legal research skills using tools such as SCC Online and Manupatra.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail.
