Details of the Job/Internship
Treelife is hiring a Legal Associate – Transactions with 4–5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and vet transactional documents including term sheets, investment agreements, share subscription agreements, shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements and closing documents.
- Provide end-to-end support for investment transactions covering due diligence, pre-closing and post-closing activities.
- Assist with corporate law, data protection, commercial contracts, foreign investments, acquisitions and investment exits.
- Advise on corporate governance, reporting, disclosure and startup-specific requirements.
- Analyse legal and commercial clauses and negotiate on behalf of clients.
Eligibility
- BLS LLB/LLM or BA LLB/LLM from a recognised university.
- 4–5 years of law firm experience.
- Hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions, PE/VC transactions and corporate restructuring.
- Strong judgment, communication and drafting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build a professional network.
- Prior startup experience preferred.
