Details of the Job/Internship
Treelife is hiring a Legal Associate – Contracts with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience to join their office in BKC, Mumbai. The role involves working on contract lifecycle management, global contracts across APAC, MENA, and LATAM regions, and exposure to privacy and data protection frameworks including GDPR.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, redline, and negotiate mid-complexity contracts such as SAAS contracts, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and change orders independently or with stakeholders, while securing favourable positions for clients.
- Ensure high quality standards in process delivery by quality-checking deliverables.
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including recording executed agreements, managing renewals, extensions, renegotiations, amendments, and terminations.
- Develop and implement processes and controls addressing privacy and data protection requirements in India and internationally, including GDPR and COPPA.
- Support clients in implementing and sustaining processes for operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Eligibility
- LLB from a reputed institute.
- 3–5 years of experience after qualification, preferably with law firm exposure.
- Strong organisational skills and flexibility to complete critical tasks on time.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision in a team environment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral.
