Details of the Job/Internship

Dodo Payments is hiring a Legal Associate, Corporate & Commercial with experience of 1–4 years to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves supporting the legal function across commercial contracts, corporate documentation, legal research, diligence processes, and legal operations while working closely with the Compliance & Legal Head, founders, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, NDA, service, and partnership contracts.
• Support internal stakeholders on contract-related queries, risks, and escalations.
• Maintain templates, clause banks, contract trackers, and documentation workflows.
• Assist in corporate documentation, governance matters, resolutions, approvals, and record-keeping.
• Coordinate with external counsel across jurisdictions and maintain corporate records.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research and provide practical internal guidance.
• Support risk assessment, issue-spotting, and internal advisory work.
• Assist in fundraising, diligence, and legal data room preparation.
• Organise and review legal documents for investor, banking, and partner diligence.
• Develop and maintain legal processes, compliance policies, trackers, and documentation systems.

Eligibility

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Experience in commercial contracts, corporate work, legal research, or diligence support.
• Strong drafting, review, and document management skills.
• Ability to analyse legal issues and provide practical business-oriented guidance.
• Strong prioritisation skills and sound judgment.
• Clear communication, attention to detail, and execution capability.

Salary/Stipend
