Details of the Job/Internship

Digitys is hiring a Legal Associate with 2+ years of experience to join their office in Pune. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Client & Commercial Contracts
• Review, negotiate, and execute client contracts (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, amendments, change orders).
• Ensure legal terms align with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Liaise with India & US-based counsel for escalations and specialized advice.
• Vendor, Partner & Third-Party Agreements
• Draft, review, and manage NDAs, service agreements, SLAs, DPAs, and engagement letters.
• Ensure contracts comply with data protection and security requirements.
• Employment & Labour Law
• Manage employee legal documentation and advise HR/leadership on Indian employment laws.
• Support investigations, policy updates, and employment risk mitigation.
• Corporate Governance & Compliance
• Support corporate secretarial and regulatory compliance, board documentation, and audits.
• Coordinate with CS, CA, and external advisors on statutory matters.
• Cybersecurity, Data Protection & IP
• Support legal aspects of data privacy, cybersecurity, and IP matters, including licensing, confidentiality, and basic trademark/copyright documentation.
• Legal Operations & Advisory
• Maintain legal trackers, repositories, dashboards, and summaries.
• Conduct research and provide legal opinions, risk notes, and advisory support.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer with 2+ years PQE in corporate/commercial law.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of contract law, corporate law, employment law, technology contracts, data protection, cybersecurity, or IP.
• Ability to work independently and with global stakeholders across US time zones.

Salary/Stipend
