Details of the Job/Internship

MyCounsel is hiring for the position of Legal Associate - Entertainment, Events & Artist Mangement with 1-2 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

Contracts & Agreements

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including but not limited to artist management contracts, sponsorship agreements, brand endorsement contracts, vendor agreements, and event licensing contracts.
• Ensure contracts align with industry practices while protecting the company’s legal and financial interests.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate contract execution and dispute resolution.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Advise on legal and regulatory requirements in event management, sponsorships, and artist engagement.
• Ensure adherence to intellectual property laws, licensing requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Assist in data protection and privacy compliance related to event registrations and audience data handling.
• Manage and Assist in document management and routine Audits

Legal Advisory & Documentation

• Provide legal support to marketing, finance, and operations teams regarding sponsorship deliverables and commercial obligations.
• Maintain a repository of legal templates and ensure timely updates in accordance with changing laws and business needs.
• Support the drafting of internal policies and guidelines for managing legal risks in entertainment and events.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience, including internships and pre-qualification work in media, entertainment, or events law.
• Strong understanding of contract law, intellectual property rights, and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working with event management companies, artist agencies, or corporate sponsorship teams.
• Familiarity with data protection and advertising laws in the entertainment industry.

Salary/Stipend
