Details of the Job/Internship
M-A-Y-Lawyers LLP is hiring a Legal Associate – Fresher to join their office in Kanpur Nagar. The role involves managing IP filings, corporate agreements, and providing strategic legal advice on IPR and corporate compliance matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and execute trademark filings, prosecutions, oppositions, renewals, and related proceedings before the Indian Trademark Office and internationally, if applicable.
- Conduct IP due diligence and assist in patent or trademark portfolio management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements including Technology Transfer Agreements, Licensing Agreements, NDAs, Joint Venture / Collaboration Agreements, IP Assignment & Service Agreements.
- Provide strategic legal advice on IPR and corporate compliance matters.
- Liaise with clients, government bodies, and associates to ensure smooth project execution.
Eligibility
- LL.B. / LL.M. with specialization or experience in Intellectual Property Law.
- Registered Trademark Attorney (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Indian and international IP frameworks.
- Excellent legal drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple clients or projects.
