Details of the Job/Internship

Chambers of Eshna Kumar is hiring a Legal Associate with 1–3 years of experience to join its litigation team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Independently draft legal notices, complaints, affidavits, and pleadings related to Section 138 NI Act matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies.
• Appear before Magistrate Courts and handle pre-summoning and post-summoning procedures.
• Lead evidence, conduct cross-examinations, and present final arguments.
• Liaise with clients and provide regular case updates.
• Maintain case records, hearing schedules, and documentation.
• Coordinate with court clerks, process servers, and other stakeholders.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree from a recognized university with Bar Council enrollment.
• 1–3 years of relevant litigation experience, particularly in cheque bounce cases.
• Strong drafting and communication skills.
• Confidence in court appearances and cross-examination.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Proficiency in English and regional language, if required.
• Male candidates only.
• Physical, mental, and emotional fitness for regular travel.
