Details of the Job/Internship
Clergy and Wisemen LLP is hiring a Legal Associate for General Litigation to join their Bengaluru office. The role involves courtroom practice across criminal, civil, and commercial matters, offering structured mentorship and responsibility from Day 1.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, complaints, written statements, applications, legal notices, and briefs.
- Handle case filings, evidence stages, and matter listings.
- Appear regularly before Trial Courts, City Civil Courts, Sessions Courts, Commercial Courts, Consumer Commissions, and the High Court of Karnataka.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies and arguments.
- Provide client updates, coordinate with counsel, and ensure procedural compliance.
- Interact with local courts, registry officials, and statutory authorities.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognised university; enrolled with the State Bar Council.
- 0–2 years of litigation experience (freshers with strong litigation internships may apply).
- Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
- Strong understanding of procedural and substantive laws.
- Working proficiency in Kannada for court communication.
- Immediate availability preferred.
