Details of the Job/Internship
Lummus Technology is hiring a Legal Associate I with experience of 0-2 years to join their office in Gurgaon.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the initial review and creation of standard NDAs through the company’s contract lifecycle management (“CLM”) system. Responsible for negotiating and completing most standard NDAs.
- Expected to expand their capabilities to learn contract negotiation and review customer contracts against standardized company contracts.
- Responsible for reviewing historical contracts, including but not limited to, Non-Disclosure Agreements to identify pertinent information to be extracted and uploaded into the CLM system.
- Responsible for ensuring all information loaded into the CLM system is accurate; and ensuring duplicate records are not uploaded.
- Responsible for working with the business to locate historical agreements.
- Work closely with in-house and external Compliance, Litigation, and Labor & Employment lawyers, as well as third-party administrators and insurance brokers to support various types of legal matters and assist in the adherence to regional Ethical and Compliance standards.
- Assist in managing compliance hotline and incident management application including triaging reported incidents, updating cases through completion, and preparing reports for management.
Eligibility
- University degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent where the law program is duly recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- 0-2 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
- Experience with drafting standard Contracts.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to constantly changing requirements while taking the steps necessary to meet challenging deadlines.
- Must exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills; rely on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and solve problems. Ability to stay focused on lengthy projects that require a high level of detail.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to deal tactfully with internal business clients and colleagues.
- Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills; fluency in English is required.
- Must have strong working knowledge of office systems including Microsoft Office applications.
