Details of the Job/Internship
Lummus Technology is hiring a Legal Associate II with experience of 0–3 years to join their office in Gurgaon. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills and involves contract preparation and negotiation support, maintenance of a contracts database, and assistance to supervising attorneys. The position includes preparing and reviewing NDAs, supporting contract lifecycle management, participating in third-party due diligence processes, and contributing to compliance and legal support functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare standard Non-Disclosure Agreements and review third-party modifications.
- Negotiate standard NDA terms in accordance with attorney guidelines and finalise agreements for signature.
- Assist attorneys with preparation, negotiation, and finalisation of non-standard NDAs.
- Support compliance screenings and third-party due diligence processes.
- Assist in managing the contract lifecycle management system.
- Prepare standard vendor and supplier contracts based on pre-approved terms and support negotiations.
- Apply basic understanding of intellectual property considerations in contract preparation and negotiation.
- Maintain and update standard agreements and manage the contracts database, including filing signed agreements and maintaining project lists.
- Assist attorneys in supporting legal matters involving compliance, litigation, labour and employment counsel, third-party administrators, and insurance brokers.
- Support management of the employee hotline and incident management application, including case triage and reporting.
Eligibility
- BBA.LLB, with specialisation in corporate law preferred.
- 0–3 years post-qualification law firm experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong working knowledge of office systems including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate clients in the U.S.
Salary/Stipend
