Details of the Job/Internship
Unimarks Legal is hiring a Legal Associate – IPR with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience to join at Chennai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on the protection, enforcement, and commercialization of intellectual property (IP), including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designs.
- Manage trademark, patent, and copyright filings domestically and internationally, ensuring compliance and accuracy in submissions.
- Assist in intellectual property litigation, including drafting pleadings, legal notices, and responses in infringement suits and enforcement proceedings.
- Conduct legal research on IPR laws, trends, and case developments, and provide detailed reports to senior attorneys and clients.
- Perform IP audits and due diligence, reviewing portfolios, assessing risks, and identifying opportunities for IP protection in corporate transactions.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) – required.
- LL.M. in IP Law or certification in IPR – preferred.
- Licensed to practice law in India.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant IPR experience.
