Details of the Job/Internship
Perfetti Van Melle is hiring a Legal Counsel with 5–8 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram, Haryana.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal support including preparing, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documents.
- Handle global contracts such as framework agreements, supply agreements, service contracts, distribution arrangements, and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensure alignment and consistency between global and local contractual terms.
- Develop, update, and maintain templates, policies, and procedures for contract management.
- Drive and monitor legal and regulatory compliance programs in line with local laws, governance norms, and the Group’s Code of Conduct.
- Manage litigation, claims, and government investigations by coordinating with internal teams and external counsel, especially in matters relating to food laws, consumer protection, environmental laws, and labour laws.
- Draft and respond to legal notices and communications, in consultation with external legal advisors as required.
- Provide legal opinions and interpretations of laws and regulations impacting the company.
- Conduct legal due diligence and support business initiatives from a risk management perspective.
- Track legal and regulatory developments and ensure timely compliance implementation.
Eligibility
- Law Graduate (LL.B).
- 5–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and handling cross-border agreements.
