Details of the Job/Internship

IndiaLaw LLP is hiring a Legal Associate – Real Estate (Non-Litigation) with experience of 1–2 years to join their office in Mumbai Fort. The role is focused on transactional, advisory, and compliance work across commercial, industrial, and residential real estate matters within the Corporate Real Estate team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct legal due diligence and title verification for properties across jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documentation including lease deeds, leave and license agreements, sale/conveyance deeds, development agreements, MoUs, and term sheets.
• Advise clients on land acquisition, joint development structures, and regulatory compliance under RERA, stamp duty, and registration laws.
• Coordinate with clients, developers, and government authorities for documentation, approvals, and registrations.
• Prepare legal opinions and transaction notes for internal and client use.
• Stay updated on real estate laws, municipal regulations, and market practices.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized university; certifications in real estate law or RERA are an advantage.
• 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in real estate transactional work (non-litigation), preferably in a law firm or corporate legal team.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with land laws, RERA, stamp duty, and registration processes.
• Excellent communication and client-handling abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and meet deadlines.

Salary/Stipend
