Details of the Job/Internship
ORO Labs is hiring a Legal Associate with 5+ years of experience to lead and expand its US contracting function in a fully remote role aligned with US hours. The role includes negotiating complex enterprise agreements, supporting cross-jurisdictional operations in the US, UK, EMEA, and APAC, and advising on privacy, AI, and IP matters. The position requires close collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Implementation teams and involvement in building scalable legal processes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs, and teaming arrangements.
- Drive deals to closure by collaborating with Sales, Finance, and Implementation teams while safeguarding the company’s interests.
- Identify legal and commercial risks and provide practical mitigation strategies.
- Advise internal teams on privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and IP issues across jurisdictions.
- Translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for business stakeholders.
- Monitor legal developments in technology, AI, and data regulation and brief leadership.
- Develop templates, playbooks, and deal trackers to streamline processes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives shaping ORO’s global business operations.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer with 5+ years of PQE, preferably with experience in tech, SaaS, or fast-growth environments.
- Strong experience in US commercial contracting, ideally in enterprise sales.
- Skilled in negotiating with large customers and procurement teams.
- Proficient in privacy and IP advisory work, including data transfer and AI-related issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal matters.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle ambiguity, and provide business-oriented solutions.
Salary/Stipend
