Details of the Job/Internship
IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Legal Associate (Off-roll) with 2–5 years of experience to join their office in Guwahati.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle Section 138 of the NI Act, Section 25 of PASSA matters, and general recovery cases.
- Attend court appearances and coordinate with external advocates regarding case updates.
- Draft legal notices, complaints, and essential legal documentation.
- Liaise with police and relevant authorities for legal matters.
- Manage the litigation portfolio and perform regular follow-ups.
- Supervise and manage the Loss on Sale portfolio.
Eligibility
- Mandatory LL.B. degree.
- 2–5 years of experience in banking, recovery, or legal litigation.
- Prior experience in Section 138 proceedings or arbitration is preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in or near the Guwahati location.
- Willingness to handle a role that requires both field work and court-related tasks.
