The firm handles a wide spectrum of legal matters, including Civil, Criminal, and Company Law, as well as specialized practice in the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), and Consumer Forums.
Details of the Job/Internship
Akhil Akbar Ali Associates is hiring a Legal Associate/Junior Advocate for a full-time, on-site position in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters across various forums including Civil and Criminal courts, NGT, and DRT.
- Prepare, review, and vet legal documents, pleadings, and applications.
- Conduct exhaustive legal research on precedents and statutory interpretations.
- Analyze complex legal and policy issues to provide strategic advice to clients.
- Assist senior advocates during court proceedings and appellate hearings.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.
- Support the firm’s policy consulting wing in analyzing the implementation of legal frameworks.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Proficiency in core legal principles and a strong understanding of current legal issues.
- Demonstrated experience in Legal Research and Document Preparation.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Advantage: Prior experience in litigation is highly preferred.
