Details of the Job/Internship
Amicus Services is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Associate for their Real Estate team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various real estate-related documents, including sale and purchase agreements, lease agreements, and loan documentation.
- Conduct thorough legal research on real estate laws, regulations, and case law to support ongoing transactions and advisory work.
- Participate in due diligence exercises, including title searches, review of land records, and verification of development approvals.
- Support the Partner in managing transactions from inception to completion, ensuring all legal aspects are addressed and potential issues are anticipated.
- Liaise with clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progression of transactions.
- Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and correspondence related to real estate matters.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in real estate law and provide timely updates to the team.
Eligibility
- LLB degree from a recognized law school with a strong academic record.
- 0- 2 years of experience in real estate law, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Familiarity with real estate transactions, including title diligence, regulatory compliance, and documentation.
- Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Preferred Attributes:
- Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate issues and propose solutions.
- Experience in handling transactions across multiple states in India.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations affecting real estate transactions.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
