Details of the Job/Internship
Ashish Shah Associates is hiring a Legal Associate to work on banking operations, real estate transactions, commercial litigation, negotiable instruments matters, and government-related work.
Role and Responsibilities
- Banking & Financial Services:
- Prepare Legal Scrutiny Reports for banks and review loan documentation.
- Scrutinise title documents, mortgage deeds, charge documents, and security instruments.
- Draft legal opinions and assist with banking compliance and documentation.
- Real Estate & Property Law:
- Draft and review sale deeds, lease deeds, rent agreements, and property documents.
- Assist in real estate litigation and prepare pleadings for property disputes.
- Advise developers on project compliance and regulatory matters.
- Negotiable Instruments & Commercial Disputes:
- Handle matters under the Negotiable Instruments Act, including cheque dishonour cases.
- Assist in litigation involving promissory notes, bills of exchange, and recovery matters.
- Draft legal notices and documents for debt recovery proceedings.
- Handle municipal law matters and compliance involving municipal authorities.
- Commercial Litigation & Court Practice:
- Draft legal notices, complaints, written statements, and pleadings.
- Attend civil courts in Gujarat for hearings and proceedings.
- Maintain case records, prepare briefs, and support litigation strategy.
- Liaise with clients, assist in negotiations, and support mediation proceedings.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognised university.
- Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in banking law, real estate law, commercial litigation, or corporate law.
- Exposure to banking documentation, due diligence, NI Act matters, and court practice.
- Strong legal drafting and documentation skills.
