Details of the Job/Internship
AZB & Partners is hiring Legal Associate with the experience of 3 to 8 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various documents.
- Provide legal advice to clients financial & regulatory laws.
- Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations that may impact client transactions.
- Applicant should have experience in Banking & Finance law and transactional work.
- Applicant should possess experience in drafting and reviewing loan security agreements, handling regulatory matters, conducting due diligence for such transactions.
- Providing legal counsel to clients in Banking and Finance industry.
- Applicant should have a good understanding of financial market, lending practices, and ability to work on complex financial structures and transactions.
- Manage matters efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate and organized legal documentation.
- Financing experience is mandatory (particularly structured finance, cross border financing, working with foreign banks or lenders).
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior lawyers.
Eligibility
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven 3-8 years of experience as a Banking & Finance lawyer, preferably with a reputable law firm.
- Strong understanding of RBI regulations, contract law, company law, regulatory law & commercial/business terms.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting transaction documents.
- Demonstrated track record of providing sound legal advice and strategic thinking to clients.
