Details of the Job/Internship

Azim Premji Foundation is hiring a Legal professional with 5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value EPC, service agreements, software licence agreements, and land purchase and lease documents.
• Developing and implementing standard contract templates and compliance checklists.
• Driving compliance with labour statutes such as Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, Provident Fund, Minimum Wages Act, and Contract Labour Regulation Act.
• Researching, interpreting, and applying relevant statutes, regulations, and case laws.
• Handling litigation matters.
• Managing relationships with external legal counsel on intellectual property, taxation, Right to Information, and Right to Education matters.
• Publishing periodic MIS on legal and secretarial matters.

Eligibility

• LL.B from a reputed law college with 5 years of generalist legal experience in a corporate legal department or Tier I/II law firm, including legal and secretarial aspects.
• Exceptionally good drafting skills and mastery over the English language.
• Good knowledge of contract and property law.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Reasonable understanding of commercial matters.
• High self-drive and confidence.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent thinking, reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment and customer orientation.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks within strict time constraints.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

Salary/Stipend
