Details of the Job/Internship
Azim Premji Foundation is hiring a Legal Counsel / Legal Executive with around 5 years of experience to support its legal and compliance functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including EPC, service, software licence, and lease agreements.
- Develop standard contract templates and compliance checklists.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws such as Shops & Establishments Act, PF, Minimum Wages Act, and Contract Labour Act.
- Conduct legal research and apply relevant laws and regulations.
- Handle litigation matters.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on IP, taxation, RTI, and RTE matters.
- Publish periodic MIS on legal and secretarial matters.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a reputed law college.
- Around 5 years of generalist legal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Strong drafting and English language skills.
- Knowledge of contract and property law.
- Good legal research and writing skills.
- Understanding of commercial matters.
