Details of the Job/Internship
CGI is hiring a Legal Associate with 2–4 years of post-qualification experience to join their Bangalore office in the morning shift. The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, supporting business teams across multiple geographies and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and organisational policies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, sourcing agreements, teaming agreements and other commercial contracts.
- Support business teams in India and other regions, including South East Asia, Canada and the UK, in bid qualification and review of EOIs, RFPs and related documents.
- Identify commercial and legal risks and ensure compliance with CGI’s policies on legal and commercial exposure.
- Provide guidance on legal issues affecting client or procurement contracts.
- Assist internal teams with audits, real estate leases, insurance matters and HR issues.
- Monitor and guide statutory compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various issues.
- Perform other legal and commercial tasks as required.
Eligibility
- Legal graduate or postgraduate with 2–4 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
- Strong contract drafting, review and negotiation abilities.
